Hey I'm aiming for a grade 9 in english lit but poetry seems to be the problem as I have good ideas and quotes but how do I structure my actual essay? Is it similar to the first paper of english lit AQA or is there a different technique that can boost me a couple marks?
If you can could you briefly lay out a good format please

Thanks x

The structure for all the questions is mostly the same, except for the poetry question about the cluster, where you need to compare two poems - one is printed, and the other you choose - and also the comparison question for unseen poetry. Try to offer alternative interpretations about your quotes. In the examiner's report, AQA mention that making interesting comments about your quotes will get you more marks than simply stating a lot of quotes.
