Does master major matter when getting into investment banking?

I know that bachelor degree doesn’t matter while university is more important. But when it comes to master degree, which one is more important, Uni or major? I currently have finance & investment at Bristol university and sustainable resources at ucl.
uni matters - but at masters it's nice to see specialisation which really can drill down on interest

@ the end of the day, so long as you can get to interviews it becomes about selling yourself / story

Thanks! The master in ucl is more like environment combined with economics, and environment and sustainability are trendy, I feel like it would be interested to learn. But I am also fascinated with a job in investment banking, I’m not sure whether investment banking has certain requirements about master degrees.

no degree specific requirements, bear in mind you're pitching yourself against other likely focused students.. so just ensure you have a good narrative as to why you made certain life decisions and how they can contribute to the institutions you'd be applying to.

Thank your for your useful advice! Hope one year later, I can break into investment banking. I probably will study in ucl, and it also means I need to learn a lot about financial knowledge and technician skills after classes, and also networking a lot.

By the way, I knew it would be easier to be in the first tier like Goldman Sachs if I had internship in a small financial institution. But do they follow the same rule of no required major ?
