obvious, and normally there is no choice - dr guides medication - if you need insulin metformin wont cut it, if metformin controls it you wouldnt be given insulin and between metformin and insulin are other drugs drs will try first as you want to avoid insulin as long as possible

can't really explain why scientifically but from what i've seen on various family members the injections work more effectively
that is all

they dont work “more effectively” as your diabetes gets worse you produce less and less insulin until the point there is no option but to replace it
lazy people ‘like’ insulin because you can eat what you want and “counter” it - but that's a slippy slope to uncontrolled diabetes
metformin helps your body to release insulin naturally - cutting sugar and carbs also helps so people on tablet control are advised to follow a strict diet
