It's Mental Health Awareness Week from 12th - 19th of May in the UK and is hosted by the Mental Health Foundation. The theme for 2019 is body image - how we think and feel about our bodies.

We have loads of exciting threads and discussions going on for you to take part in over the course of the week, including opportunities to share your thoughts, ask questions to the lovely people over at the mental Health Foundation, learn more about PAPYRUS, and being body positive on social media!

We'll be including links to each new thread in this OP as it goes live. Keep an eye on this thread!

Ask the Mental Health Foundation Anything!
Self Care Ideas for a Difficult Day
Does YouTube Affect Your Body Confidence?
Support for Eating Disorders
Body Image and Social Media
How Happy Are You With Your Body?
How Does Disability Affect Your Body Image?
How Do You Practice Self Care?
Male Body Image

What steps will you be taking to take care of yourself this week?

I think that the focus should also be on the effect that exams can have on mental health as it is often not spoken about and some schools tend to shy away from it as they know that if pupils have problems during exams it can bring the results of the school down as well

We've focussed on body image this year because that's what mental health Foundation, who run the awareness week, are doing but you're totally right that exam stress is really important too. Try using the search function and having a look because we covered it quite a bit last year I think when the theme was stress, and often around exam season too
