how do you get invited to the royal variety show?

how do you get invited to the royal variety show?
I doubt you can buy tickets.. i think you have to be invited ... but whats the criteria.. lots of ordinary people go there every year but how ?

any ideas ?

Yes, you buy them: it's a charity thing for the Entertainment Artistes’ Benevolent Fund apparently

You get invited, they know where you are and the appropiate party will contact the appropiate parties.

Dad has been invited quite a few times but has only gone once, he didnt really like it as he had more important things to be doing with his time.

You have to be nominated by someone (and usually someone pretty important). My music teacher was invited to one and was nominated by the mayor and a councillor.

those ticket prices are ridiculous.

i dont think the queen or her grandsons are even going to that though.

I do have two tickets for sale for R.V.P. & aftershow party as two people are now unable to go ... but the tickets are expensive as you can imagine thinking of putting them on ebay !
You have to be invited to buy tickets and even then there is no guarantee there will be tickets available to buy.
But having been several times always had a fantastic time. This year is very special as it celebrates 100 years ..... Its gonna be a great After Show Party and I also have tickets to that.
