Has done well but maybe he had taken Brighton as far as he could? https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/48251716

Risky decision as I feel it was the players more the manager that led to their late season downturn.
Without a decent appointment and some quality additions I would have them as one of the favorites to go down, especially when you look at the solid teams being promoted.

Brighton's owners clearly feel they should be higher up the league next season and playing attractive football. He's done a brilliant job, alongside the fact he's a lovely bloke, however they've not bought well and how much that is down to him idk. Two years of PL football, completed by a margin of 2 or 20 points, should be celebrated. Unless it's a Southampton-Adkins-Pochettino situation, then it's a gamble.

As I said in the other thread, completely shocked. Taken aback when the headline popped up as I was scrolling. We're supposed to be better than this.

The only problem Brighton have is choking at the end of the season, that's the only real issue, yet despite this annual problem we still get promoted to the Premier League at last. And stay there with games to spare. Twice.
