In paper 1, there was a question to draw a star network.
When I came out of the exam someone said that they drew a router connected to the server. Is this correct?

A star topology means that all of the host devices (computers/printers/etc) are connected to an Ethernet Switch (or a Hub) on the same network: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_network

A router is for connecting one network to another network (for example, connecting a home network to the internet).

Obviously in the real world, sometimes routers have switches built-in to them as well, but I would assume the examiner is looking for at least some mention of a switch or hub rather than a router.
