After reading post-exam topics for Paper 1 and seeing a lot of people saying they are dreading Thurdays exam, especially after the nice Ceaser Cipher Algorithm from Paper 1. I've decided to make a post with revision material and key tips for the Paper 2 exam.

Feel free to ask any questions, I am confident that I will be able to answer most and other users will most likely be willing to help specifically to this paper.

First of all, Check the specification! It lists the topics and material we should have all covered in class and you can brush over it if you haven't! The OCR Computer Science Specification can be found here

A revision material I've found useful is people walking through the specification or past papers on Youtube. I'd recommend Computer Science Tutor. His content is amazing and walks the both papers in some of his playlists. You can also find his past paper walk-through in the 'Community' section of his channel.

Thank you, warrior_Abdi! Very useful source!

I'm predicted 70+ based on mock exams and feel as if I did pretty well. Lets just hope the mark scheme feels the same way.

LMC is the Fetch Decode Execute Cycle. This only appears on Paper 1. You will not need to revise this.

No Problem! Remember they can ask you questions on anything on the Specification so be prepared. The videos previously posted are made directly following the specification for the OCR exams.

On the spec, under the heading 2.2: it says
- the use of variables, constants, operators, inputs, outputs, and assignments.
What are 'operators'? Is it just casting?

Operators represent actions. x or * is the arithmetic operator for multiplication, + is addition etc

Probably best to know your Searches, Sorts and conversions between hex, binary and denary like the back of your hand too as the marks combined for those questions will be worth a whole grade boundary or more. They are easy as long as you know the methods, easy marks. Good Luck everyone

Again my teacher is saying you need to know how to Create, Modify/Insert or delete a SQL data set.
But on the spec, it only says use of SQL to search data?
