Having sex for the first time is not something that can really be planned or prepared for. If you get into a relationship with the expectation of having sex, the relationship will most likely fail. If you feel the need to plan when you are going to lose your virginity, then that may be a sign that you aren’t quite ready for it. Many people believe that sex is just a physical act, but when you first have sex (especially when you are young), there are also a lot of emotions tied up in it. The first time you have sex won’t be great, trust me. It won’t run smoothly because neither you or your partner know what you’re doing. It will be awkward, short-lived, and probably something you will end up having a giggle about in later life. In terms of the mechanics of sex, no one can really give tips there, and no amount of porn or “50 Shades” type novels will help. The only advice I can give you is do not put pressure on yourself or the other person to have sex, and make sure the person you first do it with is right. You could be left feeling regretful about the whole situation afterwards otherwise. Make sure it’s someone you feel comfortable with and have a good connection with emotionally, so that when it’s awkward (and it will be) you can just both laugh about it after all’s done and dusted and no harm’s done. I hope this helps you, and if you need advice about anything else regarding this topic, just ask 😊

Hey there Just so you know, it’s perfectly normal to be nervous about having sex for the first time. My first time was a bit nerve-wracking, but after you become a bit more experienced in sex, it’ll seem a whole lot easier - so here are my tips for you...

If you couldn't do it, you're probably just not ready and that's completely fine. There's no rush.

You are not ready yet because yiu simply haven't done your research on how to make love! Having sex is about learning. Why not get to know the guy a bit more anf meanwhile find out more about protected sex etc before you have it. You will be glad you did. It doesn't sound as though you even planned contraception!?
