lol, we just did this in out physical attraction lecture.

Men want a gal with a big bust and tiny waist.
Ladies want someone who can provide and is manly.

Thats all according to evolutionary psychologists of course... would never happen in real life of course

They have to give me the butterflies-in-stomach; oh my god I fancy you feeling. They have to be as intelligent as I am and hopefully creative too. It'd help if they had some interesting stories to tell and had had a bit of life experience behind them too. He'd be the typical tall, dark and handsome (willing to negotiate on the dark though!). It's important that he's secure in himself, reasonably sane and has no mental health problems!! He'd have to be thoughtful and nice but not TOO nice, because that equates to predictable. Capacity to surprise me is also appreciated..

Sucks that I don't know anyone available like that

Agreed, I used to think that I had a 'type', now I realize that I have no clue....

I thought you said your type was brunette, kind of arty, intelligent with a good mix of cynicism and optimism. What happened to that?

 well, yeah I like those kinds of girls, but Ive mostly dated rather passive girls in the past- 'cute girls.' Now Im dating a new girl that I really like and she is pretty, brunette, arty, intelligent, and all the things you listed above. Which is why I like her, but she is more aggresive than the girls I have dated in the past, which is nice, but different. Thus the reason I challenged my previous ideal.

Guys don't respect passive girls. I have yet to meet a guy who preferred a passive girl. Did you prefer this type of girl or was that just what you ended up getting.

I did like the passive girls, their was something attractive about their innocence. It seemed like anything that developed was more 'sincere' in a sense because of this. Also maybe I was more confident with passive girls which gave me a sense of security in the relationship.

I don't have a particualr 'type', looks wise and am attracted to a guys personality (honest!!). I like to get to know a guy before going out with them, which is probably why previous boyfriends have always been mates first.

Personality wise I go for guys who are smart, intelligent (but not bookworms), confident, outgoing, mature (but not too serious), GSOH, and also has to be willing to try new things and get the most out of life. Not a lot to ask for really, is it
