ITV has axes The Jeremy Kyle Show due to a suicide was made by one of its guest after week appearing on the show. I’m not entirely fussed that ITV has axed Jeremy Kyle but I’d much rather them pull the plug on Love Island instead since two stars on the show already committed suicide within months apart. 150,000+ potentially stuck up shallow vain bimbos and so called macho wannabe footballer/MMA cage fighter/manwhores auditioned for Love Island this year and bet most of them are in their early 20s and probably used to be former school bullies back in the early 2010s. Depressing as well as degrading to men and women.

I completely agree, however I can't help but feel that itv were searching for a reason to get rid of Jeremy Kyle, because I'm sure its not performing as well as it used to. The suicide is merely a mask they've been searching for in order to axe it.

I can understand both sides.

The lifestyle that going on Love Island have given to those people has obviously caused the suicides, but then again it's their choice to go on the show, they're not forced to.
Plus it happened so far away from when they're on air that they probably won't hold their hands up.

I think that it is because they were looking at trying to shut it down and this incident gave the people who didn't want the show the ammo needed to get it shut down. I only watched it on the odd occasion if really bored just to see what the benefits council estate scum were arguing about. At the end of the day it is an entertainment show and if you want to be such a low life and go on the show to let a lot of people around the country see how scummy you and your family are than lol on them for not wanting to be better than that.

Something is fishy though about this whole thing though as to why it was shut down so quickly and as other people have said why has love island not had the same thing happen as they have had incidents happen after the show. I wonder what the dole dossers etc are going to watch now.

You have got it wrong. It isn't appearing on TV that has caused the suicides. These people have suffered from the after-effects of too much orange dye on their skin. This is an epidemic in the making.

Yes one person committed suicide after going on the jeremy kyle show. But i dont think they should have axed it. Yes quite a few of the people on there didnt have jobs, teeth etc, but he actually helped a lot of genuine people, e.g. finding peoples mums/dads/siblings/ other relatives, having the kids with disabilities on and giving them presents etc. Plus others are given the kick up the arse they need to change/ sort themselves out. It does have the aftercare.
Whereas love island is a load of ****. It doesnt help anyone. And 2 people off there have killed themselves. Yet its still on.

I wasn’t too bothered that Jeremy Kyle being axed but it wasn't necessary. I find Love Island to be more exploitive especially young people who aren’t blessed with good looks and self-confidence when socialising. If Love Island is going to continue then the complete show needs to change its narrative by allowing people from different body shapes and social interaction abilities.

I'm still seething over the JK Show.
Wish it had been Love Island, The Only Way Is Essex, Made In Chelsea and all those awful benefit shows.
JK helped a lot of reasonable people desperate for contact with their children or funded rehab.
Also exposed some of the worst scumbags in the uk, warning viewers about some remorseless habitual criminals forever lurking around in search of new victims. More than probation and much of the court service do.

Jeremy Kyle made a lot of money from humiliating vulnerable people on live tv. Love Island was not the same.

I’m not denying that and I think it’s wrong since I am pretty vulnerable myself however Love Island recruits attention obnoxious sexually active good looking former school bullies that would take advantage out of vulnerable. Both shows are bad as each other

Sexually active? Ok. But how do you know they were school bullies? Kyle is worse because he advertises his show as a place to help people heal and sort out their problems. He does the opposite. Live island does not make that claim so it is slightly less worse.

If it was my choice, I'd rather see Love Island axed than Jeremy Kyle's show, I've watched his show many times on catch up and YouTube, and there's something oddly satisfying seeing chavs getting a roasting from the man himself. :giggle:

No. He is not perfect himself. Didn't his own marriage breakdown as well? Should his ex scatter him on live tv as well?
