I didn’t write a conclusion for any of my essays. Does that matter?

It does a bit - the essay just closes off nicely with a 2-5 line conclusion, but don't worry if you didn't, if you included an introduction and stuck to the question, then it should've been okay

I've had full marks before on essays without a conclusion. It's generally a good idea to have a sentence at the end which sums up the mood/message/impact of the text, but I'm sure you'll be okay. Also, introductions really aren't necarssaryfor GCSE English lit; a lot of students are pushed for time so it's fine to go straight into your analysis.
