what is the difference between intermolecular forces and forces of attraction?

(1) This is posted in the physics section. For help with chemistry, I suggest you post it in the chemistry section.
(2) Intermolecular forces are a type of force of attraction which acts between molecules (hence 'inter-molecular'). However, most markschemes would require you to be specific about which forces you're talking about, and hence you should say intermolecular forces.
