Which one of the following effects will a vertical ground reaction force of 600 N have on a gymnast with a mass of 75 kg?

The gymnast will experience no acceleration.
The gymnast will experience a sideways acceleration.

The gymnast will experience a downward acceleration as the reaction force is less than the weight of the gymnast.

To work this out do you have to convert the reaction force (600n) to kg?

No convert the the gymnast's mass into weight. 75g= 735.75N. This means the force acting downwards is more than the force upwards.
