So this is the big meaty exam with the three essays (38 marks, 45 marks, 45 marks)

This thread is mainly focused on the physical topics, however if you're doing the human pathway don't be shy in sharing your questions or resources!

This is the big exam so sharing exam technique, how to plan the essays and topic help is all welcome here 🤗

Component 3
Section A: Tectonics 38 marks (compulsory)
Section B : (Physical) Ecosystems 45 marks, Weather and Climate 45 marks
Section B: (Human) Economic Growth and Challenge in India or China / Development in an African Context 45 marks, Energy Challenges and Dilemmas 45 marks

prediction for weather question?
I have a feeling there may be a question on how cities affect local climates or the UK weather (its unpredictability)

For me (physical pathway)
I think that for tectonics it could be something to do with volcanic activity (last year was earthquakes)
Ecosystems could be something on conserving biodiversity
Weather and Climate: UK weather and it’s unpredictability or urban microclimates

I’m sorry I can’t help with the other themes!

Does anyone else do "Energy Challenges and Dilemmas"? It seems that this is one that fewer people do....

I thought the paper was Ok. I did Energy and then Weather & Climate and suppose they were decent. It’s just timing that was kinda an issue.... I finished all questions but could’ve written a whole load more to be honest...

I was happy with the paper, I thought the questions were very forgiving which was nice!

I agree with the timing, I could’ve written so much more but I did manage to finish with decent conclusions so I’m happy!

Hope everyone else found it okay?

I was expecting the questions to be really tricky... but they were actually alright.

That went a whole lot better than component 2!!

Which tectonic question did everyone choose?

I chose the second tectonics one about volcanic hazards predictability and the losses caused by human mismanagement
