Sorry, can’t vote as on my mobile. However I would definitely go for dress number one. I often go for that off the shoulder look myself, and the guys tend to like it ( although you’re not dressing for them) the black will complement your dark skin, and make you look sophisticated. Because it looks less fussy, you will be able to bling up your look with some jewellery. With this look, the guys will have to form an orderly queue if the want to dance with you

If you're pear shaped, more detail at the top would work quite well. It'd make you look more balanced. Off the shoulder would work well too. If you're short, a floor length dress might make your legs look longer and disguise heels if you wear any. If you want a short one, knee length would look better as it makes your legs look longer.
I prefer the first. Plus it's one you could wear again. The latter is too formal for most occasions.
I think dress 1 looks too much like a dress you would wear to a nice dinner and not enough like a "prom dress". For prom I think dress 2 is the one.

1st one looks pretty and elegant 💃🏻 2nd one looks good too but 1st one is way better.
Dress one is much nicer from prom imo! It’s so classy yet simple. Have fun xx
