I have grown up watching Formula One since my day of birth when the German GP was on. I have always loved the sport - but have often more recently found how much commercialisation that has happened to it - the reporters tell you what they want to hear, etc.

Niki Lauda was one of the bluntest, most special and knoweledgeable people in the F1 Paddock. He told the truth, only the truth and nothing but the truth. He was one of the bravest men alive, having crashed in 1976 only to return to the car just over a month later.

RIP Niki Lauda, you will be desperately missed.

Just got to know it that he died. A poor day for Formula 1, has lost one of his best drivers and a great pundit.

Have a peaceful rest, Nicky!

RIP Nicki, you showed heroic bravery in 1976 returning so soon after that accident. A true legend of the sport, you will be missed.
