it Said the x value of the turning point was -2
so at the turning point x=-2
y=(x+a)^2 +b
You want the brackets to =0 so a is 2 as x=-2
Given coordinates (3,1)
1=(3+2)^2 +b
1=5^2 +b
1=25+b
b=-24
y=(x+2)^2 -24
y=(-2+2)^2 -24
y=0-24=-24
Sorry if that’s still v confusing



I think it has to be (3+2)(3+2) not 5^2 But idk that how we were taught

Depends on how the grade boundaries are done this year but last year you needed 138/240 which is average 46/80 for each paper

That’s what I put , it’s the same thing and the question didn’t say you had to have it in decimal form, just in terms of p, so should get all marks :smile:

they said this year the grade going down that what our teacher told us befor we go into the exam because AQA Said that this exam is hard so the grade moving done
