Wag1 mandem, how did you all find the maths, also for last question apparently had to be complete the square, how many marks if used quadratic formula do you reckon? xxxxxxx

Nah, I'm pretty sure you had to use the QF, hence "Give your answer correct to 2 decimal places". But yeah I found the test to be pretty easy in comparison to some the past papers that I did.

Yeah I’m pretty sure it was to use the formula. Solving the square wouldn’t be 5 marks anyways.

To be honest that would drop me to 96 marks at worst so I am not too concerned, what did you all put for the left handed year 10 and 11 people, i made it to have the same denominator and got y11 xxxxxxxx

I mean if the question was just about solving a quadratic then any method that works would be correct, if the question asked for a minimum point or anything then completing the square would of been best

I did:

Year 11 = number of left handed year 11 students/total number of year 11 students x 100 to get a percentage of 33.3 (1dp)

Year 10 = number of left handed year 10 students/total number of year 10 students x 100 to get a percentage of around 27.2

%33.3 > %27.2 so year 11 is more likely.

For the distance time graph, to work out the average speed, did you calculate distance by using the area under the graph then divide that by total time?
