For those you do see on site with animated avatars such as myself... it's because we're part of specialist teams. We have a couple of extra powers or roles on site but as a side we're able to use animated avatars. There are some older users who are able to but this is because they were part of the old subscriber group which comes from years ago when TSR had a paid subscription to support the site.
