what did people right about permafrost and peatlands in the carbon cycle question also anyone who does glaciation what did you right about for the 20 marker on glacial mass balance ??

peatlands and permafrost depends on how emissions levels change and subsequent effects on climate, e.g. permafrost will continue to release higher levels of C02 if postive feedback mechanisms continue and peatlands will release more C02 if temperatures continue to rise as decomposition will be faster

glaciation one rate of movement is dependant on type of glacier (warm or cold based) and therefore if it moves by basal slip or internal deformation; other factors include slope/ lithology; mass balance does affect rate of movement as glaciers will advance if accumulation is greater but this is seasonal so not the main factor
