No. It should be lifted up when needed for security reasons.

With what's going on in the world today and for the sake of safety and identification , yes the Burka (full face covering) and niqab (where you can only see the eyes) should both be banned.
However, I see no issue with the headscarf and hijab as the face is still visible and identity won't be fully concealed.

No. We should let people wear what they feel comfortable in, whether it’s a bikini or a burka

I don’t think they should be banned in everyday situations but when other face coverings are banned (primarily for security purposes) like when you’re not allowed to wear a motorbike helmet in petrol stations etc

bikinis are not a safety hazard........
anyway, I think that burka=oppression and it is also a safety hazard for identity purposes.

There's so many arguments for and against it, it's hard to know what to agree with.

I really hate those it's not "British Cuture" arguments though, or the whole "Our country, our rules" kinda arguments. I always find comments like that ridiculous given that our culture is one massive mish-mash of other cultures anyway. Ignorant people, smh.

It's not oppression you fool do your research before commenting. Women have their own choice of wearing it, nobody forces them to do it. There's nothing wrong with it. Completely uneducated and a disgrace to society.

Should we ban balaclavas from the UK while we're at it?

People are allowed to express their beliefs.

Even if you believe the burka is a form of oppression, how would this be solved by another form of oppression; policing what women wear? People who may have more severe force to wear the burka would probably just be kept at home. The burka can just be lifted up as some people I know are comfortable doing.
