Hi! I am currently in year 10 and I am doing my end of year mocks soon where we are doing past papers and i have started buying some of the revision guides. However, I take gcse French and my brother did too and he already has a French revision guide however, it is the old A* system. So, I was just wondering if I could just get away with revising from that book instead of buying a new revision guide (9-1) or if I should get the new one?

I wouldn't worry about it. I barely touched a revision guide for my French GCSE (2018) and came out with a grade 9. I'm now getting towards the end of my first year of A-level French and have hardly used the textbook. The most important thing is learning vocabulary, and I found the GCSE revision guide to be quite lacking in this regard. (Does your school have Kerboodle? It has some excellent vocabulary lists!) I don't think the grammar and activities laid out in the old A* version are that different, anyway, so you'll probably be fine purely from a grammar perspective.
