2018 Biology paper 3 question 6.4

Could someone kindly help clarify this question for me?

"In which species was the number of copies of mRNA more affected by changes in soil pH from 4.9 to 7.5? Use a calculation to support your answer."

I don't know how to go about this :/
Thank you!
For this question, you have to look at the scale on y-axis. It is log scale so just work out the % change of each species between the two pH values
S = (10^6-10^4 / 10^6)*100 =
T = 10^4-10^2 / 10^2)*100 =

From what I remember the answer is 9900 or 99%?

Oh I see! I thought I'd have to calculate the change between each pH and then add them up or something. Thanks :smile:
