Overall, my coursework was good but I feel like I've done really bad on exams, so I'm hoping I can still get a 2.2 in second year.

Second year is worth a third overall and third is worth two thirds.

If I do well in third year, will second year make much of a difference to career prospects?

I do management with accounting.

not really, the vast majority of your grade comes from you last year.

i'm in a similar sitch, overemphasised recruiting last term so grades dipped to a few thirds/a 2:2/a 2:1. this term has mostly been high 2:1s (so overall 2:2 for the year) and I'm pretty confident I'll get a first in third year. still managed to get great interviews and an internship with just "predicted 2:1" on my CV.

A 2:2 is still a great achievement but you could still push this to a 2:1.

We would advise that you enhance your career prospects by doing as much relevant work experience and voluntary work as possible so that you have the right skill set that employers are looking for and you can show them the value you can bring when you are in your interviews.

Are you doing any work experience alongside your degree at the moment?
