How does this work for you? Do you still have things in common with whoever you’re dating?

I have not dated before but I wouldn’t date outside of my social class and most certainly a girl whose above me to prevent any conflict.

Technically yes: below and above. It wasn't something I thought of at the time though. Our connection was based on shared interests.

I don't think I ever have, though it hasn't been a conscious decision.

is that even a thing? do you ever have a choice really? at least when it goes up. I'd date Emilia Clarke if it wasn't for that damn social ladder.

I don't really see myself as having a social class, so it's not something I've ever considered.

Yes.
I'm grew up with socialist revolutionary parents obsessed with the class war agenda and not interested in this sort of mentality.
Dating is more about shared interests, affection for dogs and personal qualities.

Do I judge my social class by the class I was born in to or the one I am currently in?

I would not really think of hitching with someone who is not a professional or aiming to be one. We just wouldn't have a lot in common. The class they were born in to has little to do with that.

Most the girls I've dated come from blue collar working class families, where I'm very much a 1% upbringing. But it honestly makes no difference, I've always tried to be down to earth and be myself. Like you aren't dating because of your social classes, you're dating because you like each other, that's what matters more.

Only upwards

So not from your generic 2.2-kid middle class family

Wouldn't mind a sugar mummy

I guess I've dated upwards.

I'd say it was unintentional as it's simply reflective of the women in my current social circle.

However the truth is I can't resist a privately educated pretty English rose.

As long as we can live sustainably and have affection for each other, could not care less
