A triglyceride consists of glycerol and three different fatty acids,linoleic acid (L),oleic acid (O) and palmitic acid (P).The diagram shows one possible arrangement of the fatty acids L,O and P in the molecule.

What is the total number of possible arrangement of fatty acids in this triglyceride?
Answer is A)9 but why??

Answer is A)9 but why??
There are 6 possible arrangements if only one of each acid can be used: (3 factorial = 6)
LOP, LPO, POL, OPL, PLO, OLP
If any 3 can be used at any position, then it's 3 x 3 x 3 = 27

It's not 9 in either case. Maybe it's a mistake on the mark scheme? It'd be helpful if you can take a photo of it
