Would it be worth applying for college?

Hi, I've just finished my Year 12 AS exams and I know I've done absolutely awfully in them. I didn't do my best with revision and sitting the papers weren't great, because I honestly had no idea of what was going on in them. I completely blanked out from April to May and there's no going back now.

I accept I won't know 100% how I've done until results day in August so I'm wondering what the best thing to do would be now. Would it be to apply to college and explain my situation, speak to my relevant teachers/head of year about resitting the year, etc? I know one person resat Year 12 last year in my sixth form and the current head is saying that no decisions regarding our Year 13 curriculum will be made until September.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

If you really want to continue the subjects you’re doing then you could speak to your teachers or head of year about it and see if you can repeat the year. Or you could ask about trying out completely different subjects rather than repeating the same subjects.
