For Paper 1, I made reference to the fact that the extract referred to a character as "Clown" that was called "Gravedigger" in my copy of Hamlet. I then made reference to how this might be reflective of different interpretations of that character. Would that work or should I have phrased it differently?

You should've said "In one interpretation" and then explain how this could be interpreted as a different interpretations.
