Which statement about water is correct?
A)Bonds between hydrogen atoms cause water to have a high specific heat capacity.
B)The high latent heat of vaporisation of water is due to presence of hydrogen bonds
c)the high specific heat capacity of water causes cooling during evaporation
d)Water can dissolve amylopectin as it has hydrophilic side chains
answer is b but why not A

There are no bonds between hydrogen atoms in water.

The only bonds present are O-H covalent bonds, and intermolecular hydrogen bonds between δ+ H atoms and δ- O atoms.
