MHoC by-election

Voting is now open in the MHoC by-election. There are four options: the Libertarian Party and three independent candidates. The election will take place using the D'Hondt method, with independent candidates restricted to one seat each.

All TSR users can vote, provided they have over 100 posts on TSR and their account is at least 3 months old. If you are unsure whether you meet the requirements, please vote anyway, and ineligible votes will be removed after polls close.

If you think you should be able to vote but can't, you can send a postal vote by sending a PM to both me and the Deputy Speaker, CatusStarbright.

Voting will be open for 4 days.

ThePootisPower, Independent candidate

SankaraInBloom, Independent candidate

TSR Libertarian Party

barnetlad, Independent candidate

Vote ThePootisPower, an Independent Labour MP to represent you in TSR's House of Commons!

...but if you cannot support Labour, then vote to block the Libertarian Party. Unless Barnetlad wins a third of the Libertarian Party's votes, the Libertarian Party win 3 seats.

Make your vote count and vote for the candidate most likely to stop the Libertarian Party from getting 3 seats, barnetlad.

Obviously I’m voting Libertarian, very shocked not to see an “independent” Conservative candidate.

If you cannot support Labour, then vote to block the Libertarian Party. Unless SankaraInBloom or Barnetlad win 20% (around 15 votes), the Libertarian Party win 2 seats.

Make your vote count and vote for the candidate most likely to win, SankaraInBloom.
We win 2 seats no matter what mate because of the system.

The question is whether we win more than 2.

I sincerely hope that ns_2 makes a sensible endorsement to the Conservative membership, considering that the other options here are a socialist, an eco-socialist and an anti-brexit liberal.

Good point - you'll get 3 seats if SankaraInBloom can't stop you.

Hear that message loud and clear and vote SankaraInBloom if you can't vote Independent Labour!

Given our decision not to put forward an 'independent' Tory, I have voted in this by-election in line with my personal beliefs, and for whom I believe the creation of a free, meritocratic yet secure society is a genuine goal.

Not an appropriate comment as rainbow colours are those representing LGBT issues. Just a difficult colour for those with limited sight (my dad has limited vision and would struggle to read it).

Vote Barnetlad to have a Green voice in the House.

If elected, would you seek to reform a Green Party? Or continue as an independent on a Green platform?

To the Libertarian Party, your ideas remain fantasy. Please explain how you will abolish VAT and increase defence spending by around a third. Will it or will it not mean cuts to welfare and public expenditure of over £200 billion?
