Should I change from Endcliffe to City?

Ive applied for accommodation at Endcliffe but I'm not sure if I should change to city. I hear Endcliffe is very social so I don't wanna be alone if I'm in city.

There's a few things that are making me consider the move to city:
I'll be doing engineering and I hear endcliffe would like a 30 minute walk to the diamond, so not sure how I feel about that.
When my parents visit they usually like to go shopping then get food and then come to my room, and isn't endlciffe like 30 mins away from the city centre?

Endcliffe is probably where you want to be. I'm in Endcliffe and I don't have much of a problem with noise etc, I guess it's based on who you're living with. It is a bit of walk to the diamond from Endcliffe but you won't be alone in walking, everyone who does engineering subjects will be doing exactly the same thing. City is closer to the city (obvs), so you would be closer to those kind of shops. However, there's lots of nice places to eat in Broomhill, next to Endcliffe.
I've heard City is quite popular with international students and can be quite quiet in compared to Endcliffe

Hey yeah I swapped to the city accommodation! I'm hoping to study architecture and so if I wanted stay behind late I would rather not wanna walk 30 mins back in the middle of the night.

The city centre is completely mental noise wise, especially with more and more densely packed buildings being constructed all the time. The region around where the diamond is has gone from a deadzone around ten years ago to being fairly briskedly packed with people till about 8pm at night. Sometimes 10pm. Diamond, Jessop, IC, other random densely packed accomodation buildings. Building works, traffic.

Endcliffe is fine, just get a bicycle. 25 min walk. 10 min bike ride.

And yes the railway station is a long way from Endcliffe, but it's also a long way from City.

This is because the current Sheffield railway station is location just outside the city centre/edge to the south east of the City and the University of Sheffield is sprawled from the Western potion of the city centre and out towards the affluent West/North West parts of the city.

You can get the 120 bus from the train station for a £1.20 student single straight to Endcliffe/Ranmoor. The walk is more like 35/40 mins.
