Further Maths core pure 1 vectors - does sign matter?

Hi,

Stupid question but bear with me cause I've got my exam on Monday and I just want to be certain :smile:

When you're finding the vector equation of a plane (r.n = d format), do signs matter? The normal that I calculated has the opposite signs to the normal in the mark scheme, and so consequentially my d has the opposite sign to the mark scheme too.

I feel like my answer should be fine because my normal will still be a normal to the plane, but would I get the marks?

if all the signs are the opposite, its the same. so its fine.

edit: actually check with someone else because it might be that that is not technically the vector equation
