Is there a chance of vectors coming up on paper 1 aqa maths alevel, or will it just be kept in mechanics? Thanks!

Yes. Questions can be based on the pure part of the syllabus. This could include things along the lines of showing how/where certain diagonals of a cuboid intersect.

However, applications to mechanics (differentiating or integrating velocity to find acceleration or displacement for example) would be limited to the mechanics sections.

not 100% sure on aqa, but in edexcel there are vectors in pure, they seem to have a habit of mixing stuff up for instance standard deviation was in a further maths core pure paper for some reason
