Are you a feminist?

What is feminism to you?

To me, it is equality of all people.
No judgement to anyone .

The term 'Feminist' is too commonly associated with women vigilantes now rather than It's actual purpose of urging men and women to be equal, therefore I don't consider my self a feminist in the modern world

Interesting view
Yes.

Feminism at its core is about equal rights, equal pay and equal treatment for women and men. While I acknowledge that the feminist movement has been radicalised in a few cases, I believe that the main focus and aim of the movement and the majority of its members is still the same.

I definitely do understand though why some people prefer not to call themselves feminists, there's a lot of cases nowadays that show a much more radicalised movement but personally I don't believe the majority of the feminist movement to be like that, so while I do understand the negative connotations of the word "feminist" I personally believe that it's still a respectful movement that I'm happy to be a part of and I'm happy to be considered a feminist.

I would agree
Meh

I refuse to use labels as I fundamentally reject the idea of fitting in.

Perfectly sums up my view :adore:
Wouldn't call myself a feminist (the movement has been undermined by a few nut cases imo), I am an egalitarian though.

I think feminism is constantly pushed to the extreme, for example, football; men are better than women at football, facts which is why the men get more money whereas female models get significantly more than men due to the same reason. Additionally, women models are more famous and more advertised just like male footballers due to their better expertise in their respected jobs. Same goes for pornstars, no really cares about the men in porn but most people will know the odd female pornstar. In most films the main character is a man (MOSTLY, NOT ALL THE TIME), for example, action films are largely dominated by men because they suit that role of being seen as huge and strong- Hemsworth, Momoa. Whereas in comedies there is a larger mix of gender because body shape has nothing to do with the casting. This is probably why women don't get paid as much as men in certain films because their character isn't as significant and even if they are they are not seen as the hero. In some cases women don't play as bigger role in films but still get a huge amount of money like S.Johanssen and the rest of the cast or J.Lawrence and Hugh Jackman

Interesting you could elaborate if you wanted to
Yes I am, but I respect your right to not use the label. People have different ways of fighting for what they think is right, and some people don't like labels. As long as you act to create a better, fairer world, I don't care what you do or do not want to call yourself.
Wow so rude. Socialism can wear a skirt if he wants to. What business is it of yours?
I wouldn't call myself one as it's an uninformative descriptor.
No.
I'm female but not a feminist.
Feminism is principally about championing women, although a minority seem to have expanded this remit to include venom against males.
I believe in justice for everyone and refuse to play favourites.
My father is an intersectional feminist, I have feminist friends and work with two radfems.
But I avoid all identity politics.
