Adrian Flux Car Insurance

What’s everyones experience with adrian flux car insurance?

I have got a quote through their website but they have made it clear that you will get a better price if you call them?

Why is this and will they just ask the same question as the online form?

I’m looking to get a new car but I keep getting quotes around £3,000.

Ideally I want it under £2,000 which is why I’m considering them unless its a waste of my time

Adrian Flux are reputable, and well known especially for covering modified vehicles at good prices.

What is the car and how old are you? If you’re 17/ a new driver I would be considering Endsleigh, More Than smart wheels, Admiral, Aviva etc. Also try Marmalade, although I never get good quotes from them.

As someone who hasn’t got their licence yet I’ve been getting great quotes from More than.
No NCB, no named driver experience, not insured on any other car, 0 days on licence, I got £1049 on a Mini One, £1044 on a Citroen C3 and £1300 on a Vw Up GTI, yes a GTI not a normal Up!

If you’re not keen on a black box check out Go Girl (yes really)

I’m 19 nearly 20 looking to get a Seat Leon 1.6 2013.
I had a blackbox with more than for a year and hated it. Kept on getting bad scores because I was driving home from work at 11pm every weekend.

Aviva and LV quoted me £3000 and Go Girl was actually more expensive.

Do adrian flux insure young drivers on a car like the one i want or is it purely for modified cars?

Look at the 1.2 TSI model, and avoid the FR spec.

Adrian Flux is just better for modifed cars (they have it’s own policy) but they insure everyone especially young drivers

Deffo can’t get an FR lol as much as I want to.

I’m looking at the 1.6 tdi se as there isn’t much of a difference between the two when it comes to insurance quotes

I prefer diesels too so the tsi model isn’t really an option for me.

I drive a 2006 golf now 1.9 tdi and somehow when i look at a 2011 golf 1.6 bluemotion tech my insurance doubles lol

Ite. So what I would do is make sure all your mum and dad is on the cover, you can have up to 3 named drivers so stick your aunt/uncle on there, bascially anyone you know hasnt crashed in long and has been driving for ages. it might reduce your quote. Do a mileage calculator check out how many miles you reckon you will do and add 1k just for like benefit of doubt. Use comparethemarket.com and make sure youre putting youre job and stuff in, and when it says how many cars do you have at your househould make sure ur adding all cars ur parents own (if ur living at home). If youre still getting expensive quotes ring up Marmalade and get a quote from them. If literally nobody will go below 3k then you’re going to have to admit defeat and find another car to buy

Update:

Just looked at quotes again and managed to find one for £1800 which is amazing considering I kept getting quotes over £3,000. The company that quoted me 1.8k actually quoted me £3100 back then so i am so confused about why the priced has dropped by £1300? Of course use the exact same details and every thing.

My friend said that sometimes the time of year can effect quotes but i don’t believe that

They’re insurance brokers, I had the same problem I found quotes at night were sometimes cheaper. It’s all like stocks so the market fluctuates and the pricing increase/decrease. Just aim to get the quote way before you need the insurance and get names drivers who are safe. I’m sadly paying 1800 on a corsa b 2000 model w blackbox (17y/o). Good luck😭
