Have You Ever Hit A Girl?

Poll

ever hit a girl?

I just found out my brother recently hit his girlfriend. I know its not right and i cannot imagine him doing this - but he did.

He himself is a good kid, hence why i cannot imagine it.

Anyone fill in the poll, you don't have to reply with any details, just be honest.

I myself get angry with my girl sometimes but never hit her - instead i punch a wall, take deep breaths and calm down on my own.

God knows why the poll hasn't shown. Just reply anon if you like.
hey, there isn't actually a poll here at the moment mate.

I've hit my cousin before, but that was about 6 years ago when we were much younger and pissing each other off, so probably doesn't really count.

Personally I don't see hitting a girl as any worse as hitting a guy but there you go.

well i would confront his girlfriend if you can and find out from her why he did it and them maybe she his side of the stroy or speak to your parents because that is not acceptable behaviour and it cant be ignored

Ive hit my sisters when I was younger, one of my sisters could slap pinch and punch far better than I ever could so she was blatantly more in the wrong.
hitting anyone when you're in a relationship with them, regardless of the gender, is unnacceptable unless in self defence.. and i do think a guy hitting a girl is much worse than a girl hitting a guy as more damage seems to be done the other way (but not on all occasions i must admit)..

Wifebeater. LOL kidding man :p:

But no, I wouldn't. Unless they were really going mental, and only then just enough to make them realise what they were doing. I've heard stories about women beating men up too though....
I hit a girl 5 years ago but it was because she tried to push a cigarette into my eye. Wasn't my girlfriend though just some random girl on the street.
Yes.

But to be fair, it was in my Jitsu club. She was a purple belt, and I was a yellow belt at the time. She should of thrown me.
yeh

but never in anger, and never particulary hard

why?....im not disagreeing with you or anything,

but why do people see hitting a girl worse than hitting a guy?

do guys still look at all girls as "weaker or vulnerable" than other guys, because i dont think i do
I haven't really hit anybody. Apart from my brother and sister when we were younger.

I don't see how a guy hitting a girl is worse than a guy hitting a guy either. I don't really agree with violence at all, but if a guy is hitting a girl in self defence, he shouldn't be branded a "woman beater".

I can understand the argument that guys are typically stronger. But whatever, it's the same principle. Nobody should hit anybody! (apart from in situations of self-defence/protection or something)

Only my sister, but she's damn nimble... nips in and out with the punches and the slaps and the kicks. I just stand there then eventually throw my weight against her. Puts an end to it.
