I thought the whole point of the headscarf was to hide hair? So this defeats the purpose does it not?

Pointless. Why don’t they just take it off altogether?

It just means that they're being used as a fashion accessory and not to cover hair. Ig it's up to the person how they want to wear it.

Definitely better with hair showing. But no scarf at all will be best

For parents sake. Well in pakistan a lot of girls wear a traditional dupatta so they show a little hair e.g. Malala and benazir Bhutto.

They would be scrutinised if they took it off - look at Dina from Sid and Dina.

That’s Dina Tokio . You’ll probably be pleased to know that she has completely taken off her hijab.

Not Muslim so don't think I have the right to comment from a religious angle. From a fashion one it looks cute though.

Im a muslim myself and i wear a hijab but never and not once have i worn a hijab which shows even a little of my hair, regardless if it would look nice or not. the whole point of wearing a hijab is to cover your hair. thats what modesty is about. so i disagree with the photos above. the first photo the girl is wearing a turban which is another style of covering the hair but she has clearly chosen to leave a part of her hair out, for what reason i do not know.

The hijab is worn to cover the hair , not for fashion so yeah it's pointless really!

So is this style the next best thing they can do rather than completely remove their scarves?
