Meanwhile in the UK: Comedians arrested for jokes, bands allowed to sing 'kill torys'

The double standard on hate/offensive speech is ridiculous.

Interesting how this punk band probably they are anti establishment with those lyrics. More like Rage On Behalf Of The Machine.
What double standard? Musicians get messed with regularly, plenty singers and bands arrested/censored/banned/vilified ect. Trap/Hip Hop, off the top of my head as a current example.

Comedians are a bit more exposed, they're on a quiet stage alone, one bad line can kill their night/career and that in itself is a gag, the wee shepherds crook coming from stage right to drag them away....far easier to loose a line of lyrics in a noisy band stage.

having quite possibly been invited by someone who feels the same way about the Tories, they have now been dropped from the bill because of the bad publicity. They represent a wider body of opinion by a group of people who aren't really as cuddly as they sell themselves.

Eh, dubious. Police exist to uphold a broken state.

The problem with the "kill Tory scum" song is that's it's bloody awful. The actual point they're making (that the song is rightly considered political violence, but why is that not expanded to the deaths caused by tory policy - e.g. trying to sanction a certain number of benefits claimants per month, regardless of whether they'd done anything wrong - where the policy is intentionally cruel) is a valid one.

Refusing to help people is not killing them.

Well you seem to think that killing people is not killing them, given your Jo Cox conspiracy theory.
