Hi everyone!
I'm an incoming exchange student from Melbourne, Australia in September and got my official offer letter this week! I have discovered that the two options for accomodation for exchange students are Kingswood and Founders. I've done a bit of research on the two but struggling to find current anecdotes/reviews on the two.

I've been living in a residential college for the last 2 years, where there was a huge emphasis on socialising and fostering a really inclusive environment. I loved that and would love to experience that at RHUL.
I'm outgoing and love to go out, I will be studying politics and am keen to do a fair bit of exploring of the UK and Europe.

I really want to be in an environment where I am able to just walk into my neighbours rooms to hang out for the afternoon. The type of room doesn't really matter, I've been living in rooms with and without ensuites!
Would love any thoughts or recommendations from anyone who has either lived in Founders or Kingswood, or who has visited them!
Thanks

Hi Ico98,

We can't wait to have you join us in September!

I'm a graduate from Royal Holloway and lived in Kingswood in my first year. Kingswood and Founder's are about equidistant from the station if you're walking, but as Founder's is on campus, you'll be closer to your classes and our Students' Union. However, there is a free shuttle bus that runs from campus to Kingswood so it's easy to get to and from campus.

It's difficult to say which one would be best for you as they both have their own community feeling, but was there anything specific you'd like to know?
