Its up to the person on what they prefer. If its cheaper living costs and rent, then off campus would be better, but if youre looking for shorter distances from the campus then on campus. I would prefer on campus as I get to socialise with others and go through the struggle of paying rent and buying groceries along side my accommodation neighbours

Hi Tanadebabari, there are a lot of benefits to living in on campus and off campus accommodation so it would be what you'd prefer!

Off campus accommodation questions to consider:
What's it near? E.g. train/bus station, restaurants, supermarkets, city centre
Is it in your price range?
Is it catered/self-catered?
What are the contract lengths?
Is it easy to get to the campus from off-campus accommodation? E.g. how long would it take? Is there a bus or would you have to walk? etc.

On campus accommodation questions to consider:
Is the campus near the city centre?
Is it in your price range?
Catered/self-catered?
Is everything you need on campus or would you have to get things off-campus? E.g. supermarkets to buy food

Our experience at Chichester:

- By living in on campus accommodation you'll be on campus 24/7 so will be close to lectures, have the option to be catered and extremely easy access to welcome events that are held on campus.

- By living off campus accommodation you can actually get away from the campus, be closer to the town centre, bars and restaurants, near the train station to be able to travel to local cities e.g. Brighton, London.

All of our accommodation has 24/7 security and a manned reception to help you at all times. We also have a free intercampus bus service between campuses and off-campus accommodation to make sure everything is easily accessible. It also helps that our Bognor Regis campus is a 7 minute walk from the beach!

If you have any more questions, feel free to ask away!
