Have your say: Character and Resilience - A call for evidence

The Secretary of State for Education (Damian Hinds MP) has put together a Character Advisory Group to collate and make recommendations on character education and development for children and young people.

The Secretary of State has defined character as:

believing that you can achieve

being able to stick with the task in hand

seeing a link between effort today and payback in the future, and

being able to bounce back from the knocks that life inevitably brings to all of us.

They are seeking views from all kinds of people, including young people themselves! Section Seven is entirely for you!

As the young people who are currently experiencing (or not experiencing) this kind of personal development education, this is a great chance for your voices to be heard.

If you don't fancy completing the consultation yourself, feel free to post in here and we will include your views as much as possible in our own submission.

You can find more info and complete the survey here >>>

Would love to hear your suggestions about how better support/skills development while in compulsory education could help address this, if that's how you feel.
