you weren't meant to. you were meant to eliminate x from the 3 equations so that you only have equations in terms of y and z. then you can derive the value of b from it. b = 3, and there are infinite solutions so it forms a sheaf
An thought the paper was good should get about 66-69. For a. You set x=0 and obtain u and z. Sub back into middle line to work out z

I think I dropped about 20-25 Mark's on that

Guys drop your grade boundaries predictions. For A*-E. I’ve had mixed bag reviews. I personally found P1 much easier

Was really hoping for an A*. Expecting 90% in paper one and then this happens. Expecting about 65% on this paper.
It was bloody awful. Not only the worst paper I’ve ever sat, it was the worst paper I’ve ever laid my eyes on. I probably got 30% at most. :frown:
