I will most likely apply for Cambridge, however I am not sure. I am predicting myself mostly 8 or 9 in GCSE and a few 7's. I have been told that it is pointless applying for Oxford if you get any 7's but Cambridge doesnt care about GCSE's. Is this true?

Neither is true. Oxford do not automatically reject any candidate who has a 7 and while Cambridge don't have formal GCSE requirements they are obviously interested in how you did.
