large data set? what do i need to know? a level maths

no one has actually explained exactly what i use the large data set for in a level maths , statistics module, someone please extrapolate on this for me.

All I’m really aware of it is that if you’re given results from a large data set, the values might be rounded and therefore not completely accurate. But apart from that I’m not sure.

You need to know:
- Where the palces are
- The units used
- Improvements that could be made to the data so it's more accurate (e.g. perhaps consider more months in the year?)
- Summary of stats
- News Reports (e.g. heatwave in June/July in 2015 in the UK)
