Hey guys.. So I’m just a little nervous because although I think I did pretty well on my English Language exams, I made a couple mistakes that might cost me a few marks:

So for the first paper, I didn’t use that much subject terminology. In the language question I think I only used ‘adjective’ and ‘metaphor’, but I wrote loads about the effect of these things which is supposed to get you the most marks, so I’m just wondering how much the lack of subject terminology here could cost me.

And then in the structure question, I didn’t write about too many structural features; only ‘zooming in’ and ‘sentence forms’ and ‘tone’, just small things like that. However, I wrote paragraphs and paragraphs about the effect this had on the reader.

And then for Q5, I wrote about the market, but the market that I wrote about didn’t specifically relate to the marketplace in the picture. I decided to be imaginative and make up my own marketplace, because as far as I was aware the picture was only there to inspire you, not for you to be restricted by it. Will that cause me to lose marks?

Also, is it impossible for me to achieve higher marks on Q2 and Q3 due to a lack of subject terminology even though I used a lot of perceptive analysis?

Thanks.

Don't worry, you don't actually get marks for picking out subject terms but get marks FOR THE EFFECT OF SUBJECT TERMS. You can literally just say "word" and still get goods marks.

Really? Okay, awesome, thanks! What about my marketplace inquiry for Q5?
