What devices do you have currently?
Rubbish one, don't know exact model except that it's a HP Pavillion i3 core

Additional Comments:
For software, I don't know what exactly I will be using but I know that we will be 2D and 3D modelling on computers. I will also need to do some programming as well.

The laptop I have researched is £900. Could you please recommend me a laptop that's better and/or possibly cheaper? Thanks :smile:

You should be doing far better than that HP's spec list for £900, even this time last year a laptop like that wouldn't have dragged itself past the £750 mark. Assuming you want to play recent games at high-max settings, it leaves a lot to be desired.

This Asus is so much more powerful it's not even funny. You're getting a 6 core i7 as opposed to quad core i5, 1060 6GB compared to 4GB 1050ti, double the RAM and double the SSD capacity, it's got a 120Hz display, all while being 100g lighter, not really a significant decrease, but I'm pointing it out to show you're not compromising on portability. It's about as powerful a machine as you'll find for within budget that should happily handle your gaming and university needs for the foreseeable future.
