I'm currently applying for a job in the civil service, but I'm really lost in the application.

The application asks for duties and responsibilities in my past employment, behaviours (where I need to give experience that line up with the behaviours), as well "Employment History and Previous skills and experience".

The behaviours they require are:

Communicating and Influencing
  • Delivering at Pace
  • Making Effective Decisions
  • Seeing the Big Picture
  • Leadership

Now, while I can show each of these behaviours, it looks as if there's going to be some much overlap! For instance, I'm struggling to separate the duties and responsibilities I have from previous employment (linking it to the essential & desirable experience), and the OTHER section on employment history and previous skills/experiences. They seem to be the same thing.

That isn't even mentioning the experiences (STAR) I'm going to have to put in the behaviours.

I would really appreciate some guidance on this.
