Does anyone know whether you can start first year living at home and then move into uni or private accommodation in term 2? If so, how can I increase my student finance to pay rent? Thanks in advance!

When you apply for your loan you say where you’ll be living for each term. It doesn’t have to be the same place for each term. Your loan is adjusted based on that.

If you’ve already applied based on living at home all year then see if you can update your application online.
