my teachers said that the grade boundaries are most probably lower than last year. especially on paper 3. overall, I think it was an ok paper but people in my school found it hard. fingers crossed for low boundaries!!

i hope they’re low omg

paper 3 easiest, paper 1 then 2 for me
Original post by Dayo03
no because they are not using 3 machines for all the boxes
basically if it takes 18 days for 3 machines, on day 1 its done 1/18 of the boxes
it takes 13.5 days for 4 machines so in 1 day its done 1/13.5 of the boxes
day 3 - 5 mahines. It takes 10.8 days for 5 machines to do all the boxes so in one day it will have done 1/10.8

so if you add 1/18 + 1/13.5 + 1/10.8 that gives 2/9. So there's 7/9 left which will take 6 machines 7 days to do.

and 3+7 is 10

lmao i got 53 days i ran out of time
i think its in order i found paper 1 easiest, then paper 2, then paper 3

yo anyone remember what qu.19 was?

was about bounds, to find the upper bound of something when it is equal to (u^2)/2a. You use the upper bound of 'u' and the lower bound of 'a' to get an answer of around 81.066.

part b gave you the lower bound and asked you to find a suitable value, which was 80 as both bounds rounded to 80 to 1 significant figure

I think I got
Paper 1- 50
Paper 2-42-45
Paper 3 45-50
(HOPEFULLY)
Would that be enough for a 7?

So if we count up your minimum scores: 50 + 42 + 45 = 137

You may need to get a few marks higher (3-4) to get a grade 7.
grade bounderies prediction for. a grade 6?!
I got 0.45% for question 10 as I thought that after 20% was taken off they got Β£28.80 then that meant 80% was Β£28.80 I think I was wrong I don't remember though

ur wrong

It was 1.8%.
Her total interest was 8000x - 8000, where x is the interest rate. This, multiplied by 0.2 gave her tax, which was given in the question as Β£28.80.
After rearranging, you get x=1.018 which is equal to an interest of 1.8%

I got 0.45%, which is wrong because I accidentally multiplied by 0.8 because I didn't read the question properly.
Foundation?
what answer did you guys get for the question about the two triangles and the rectangle?
